To honour the memory of Giulio Regeni 6 years after his kidnap and murder in Cairo, the Cambridge University Italian Society invites Dr Elisabetta Brighi (University of Westminster) to deliver the annual Giulio Regeni Memorial Lecture on Tuesday, 25 January 2022, 1 pm.
The title of the lecture is: ‘Illusions of democracy – Europe and Egypt between interests, rights, and violence’.
